Bonding/Welding•There are many different ways to bond many different materials. • Bonding can be one of the toughest jobs in plastic fabrication. We are proud to say that this is an area we strive for excellence. We can bond to almost anything. • Bonding is a process of attaching two materials to its self or two different materials using a bonding agent. •Bonding agents include •Weld on •# 3 – water thin –acrylic to acrylic – very fast •# 4 – water thin-acrylic to acrylic- fast •#16 – thickened cement – acrylic •#58 – two part – polycarbonate – •#45 – two part – virtually bonds to anything •Extreme-two part – virtually bonds to anything •When you need that special design or box that requires extra strength and durability. •Weld-able products include Polyethylene, Polypropylene, ABS, PVC and Polycarbonate. •Welding is a process of bonding material to itself by the use of a welding rod and a hot air welding machine. |
